Ervine Sprouse Jr. Mandolin Tenor and Lead Vocals
42 years of age. I started playing mandolin at the age of 6. I love tradition style bluegrass music. I enjoy performing and meeting people at shoes. I love the outdoors. My hobbies are deer hunting, fishing, working in my garden, farming, and playing bluegrass music. I give all the credit to my learning to play and sing bluegrass music to my dad for having the patience to teach me.

I started playing at the age of 5 I love the tradition style of bluegrass music, the Monroe Style. I’ve been playing music all my life. My brothers and I formed our own bluegrass band in the early 1960’s the original Sprouse Brothers and played for many years. I enjoy playing music weather picking with a group of people or performing on stage. I enjoy meeting people everywhere we go. I also enjoy farming which I grew up doing.

 Ken Bohling- Fiddle
I began playing fiddle at the age of 14. In the 1982 began working in the U.S. Govt. and was assigned overseas. I was unable to participate in any bluegrass events during that time. In 1990 moved to Atlanta Georgia. Played several Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel groups in the Atlanta region during the early 1990’s. Moved to the Fairfax, Virginia area in 1993 and played with several groups in that area. Retired from Govt. and moved to the Shendoah Valley in 2000. Now playing music with several groups in this area.

 Alan Chandler- Banjo
I am 14 years old and really enjoy playing music and performing. My first instrument was the fiddle which I started playing at the age of 10. About a year later, I started playing mandolin. My newest instrument is the banjo, which I started about two and a half years ago in 2005, and is primarily self taught. A few of my hobbies include playing video games, writing short humorous poems, and playing basketball with my friends. I hope to continue to improve on my music playing, and maybe eventually take it further.
